The new year rapidly approaching, and it seems like now would be a great time to take a look at some of the most popular and upcoming trends in fashion.

Fashion trends are wonderful to admire on the catwalk but when it comes to when it comes to everyday life some can be impractical and not easily interpreted into the daily wardrobe.

With this in mind, here is a sneak peek into what to expect in terms of fashion in 2023, focusing on the most wearable trends that everyone can enjoy.

Double denim

Firstly, there’s the double denim trend. This trend has previously been championed by stars such as Olivia Palermo and Kate Bosworth, but it’s safe to say that we will be seeing a lot more of it over the next few months.

Double denim is often characterised by pairing a pair of blue jeans with a denim shirt, but in 2023, skirts, tops, and blazers in denim can be added into the mix. There is plenty of inspiration to be taken from the 90’s with midi and maxi skirts receiving the fashion editors stamp of approval, in addition to two-toned denim and baggy styles. This playful combination is sure to be a firm favourite and can easily take you from day to night.

Ruffles

Secondly, the ruffle trend is still going strong this year and it looks like it will continue to be a popular choice for the foreseeable future. The runways were filled with extremely exaggerated sleeves, but expect to see this filter down to the stores in a more wearable way. Fun and flirty ruffles will be found on dresses, tops, skirts and even shoes.

This really is a versatile trend that can be worn with a variety of outfits to create some really stunning everyday looks as well as being a prefect option for dramatic occasion wear.

Sports luxe

Finally, the sportswear trend is one that is here to stay. This is definitely a trend that has been popular for a while now and shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. It’s usually characterised by a combination of trainers, leggings and a slogan tee.

This year considering giving your work out wear an update by wearing leggings with a tailored coat or other fashion forward items for an elevated look.  It’s a great way of staying comfortable and stylish at the same time.

Stripes

Stripes are a classic pattern and never really go out of fashion from one year to the next. However, it is always fun to experiment with a classic in a fun way. In 2023, stripes will be making more of a statement. They will be bolder, thicker and more colourful. They can be incorporated into any item in the wardrobe and not just the usual horizontal stripes but vertical stripes too.

Bright colours

Bright bubble gum pink was huge in 2022. Next year the colour palette shows no signs of dulling. Bright colours such as lemon, lime and other neon shades are set to be huge. These colours may seem intimidating at first but are in fact very wearable and easily incorporated into the wardrobe through the addition of fun accessories or a great pair of sandals heels, like those from Aquazzura.com for a fun pop of colour.

These are the most wearable of the upcoming trends in fashion for 2023. They are pretty varied and versatile, so there will be something for every fashion lover.
