Swimwear Edit

The summer of 2020 may not be the summer we all envisaged, but whether we manage to fly away from it all to far flung shores or we staycation it at home with a paddling pool, with temperatures set to soar this month,  bring your A game to 2020 with StyleNest’s swimwear edit.

First up, TRUBIKINI; a luxury swimwear brand that has reinvented the triangle bikini & made it their staple. Ranging in sizes from A to G without a need for an underwire, the brand was born out of frustration at the owner’s inability to find swimwear that fitted correctly and that was comfortable.

Available as a mix and match option, this is probably the best fitting bikini you’ll ever find. One pieces are also available but it’s the bikini that’s the clincher for me.

If you are looking for something more eco, step forward Emile Vidal Carr. Emile has just launched his debut collection Ecoswimure, made from econyl, this eco friendly fabric is made from recycled nylon waste from landfill and oceans across the world. Econyl is like brand new nylon and can be recycled, remoulded and recreated time and time again. If Emile’s name is familiar to you, it’s because he was a finalist in 2019 for the DHL Fashion Potential Award and looking at his designs, it’s not hard to see why….

For those of us who’ve been lucky enough to visit the paradise that is; The Maldives, this brand will transport you straight back there…Kandumathi are a brand founded in 2016 by Maldivian siblings, they take inspiration from the natural world & Maldivian culture. They work with local artists and designers to produce their pieces and their collections are based on water colour paintings by Maldivian Artist, Nadee Rachey.  Available as both one pieces & bikinis, they are truly one of a kind.

Those of you who follow StyleNest will already be familiar with the Lands End X Draper James collaboration we covered back when it launched and frankly, if it’s good enough for Reese Witherspoon, then it’s good enough for me.

Lastly and a personal fave of mine are TEN STUDIO, the girls, Freya and Aimee, behind this brand are  the Queens of customisation and it is worryingly additive as they release more and more colours each season…this year I’ve opted for their new  velvet bikini in chocolate and expect to see me sport it both at home and abroad.
