With my skin feeling a bit stressed right now, thanks to home schooling, and general lockdown life, I set up the UFO 2 ready for some at-home spa relaxation. My device is Pearl Pink, with there being Fuchsia and Mint colour picks too. Within the packaging, you’ll find a charger, stand, plus single mask and serum sachets.

Aesthetically speaking, this handheld beauty is chic, elegant, and offers the promise of serious skincare technology. Made from super hygienic (and easy to clean) silicone, the rose gold details are next level luxe. Complete with two-year guarantee too, mine lives propped up on its stand, sitting at my home desk, reminding me to grab some down time when I can. It’s also worth mentioning that the FOREO app itself can be used with any FOREO devices, including the LUNA facial cleanser range and ISSA toothbrush series.

The Power Mask treatment can be used in a few different ways, because due to the LED light therapy component, there’s a full spectrum of colours. Each colour offering its own boost, these are red, blue,  green, white, purple, orange, yellow and cyan.

To quickly sum up your comprehensive colour options, red stimulates the production of collagen, while firming, lifting and helping the skin heal. Blue minimises imperfections and blocks P.acnes bacteria, preventing breakouts while helping with existing acne and lesions too. Green is used for evening out the skin tone, brightening your complexion and softening dark circles and age spots. The longest wavelength of all, white delves deeper into the skin to tone, tighten and reduce puffiness while activating the skin’s natural renewal system.

The purple LED blends together red and blue light, eliminating toxins, soothing inflammation and creating radiance. Orange eases sun damage, yellow soothes sunburn and combats swelling, and finally, cyan is anti-inflammatory in calming stressed skin, reducing swollen capillaries and blocking pain.

To work the device alongside its coordinating FOREO app, you scan the barcode of whichever mask you’re using. Unwrap the sachet, clipping the UFO-activated mask onto the device. The app contains a visual and audio experience, with a soothing voice talking you through the process and spa-like music in the background. You can stop the treatment at any time, with there being an option to repeat at the end too.

While moving the UFO 2 around your face, you’ll feel the amazing T-Sonic facial massaging kick into action and stimulate pores. I can feel myself exhale, and really unwind at this point.
