The Stem Cell 3D Glycolic Peel treatment is not just an intense facial treatment but can also be used to target a multitude of problem areas including sagging skin on the neck, stretch marks on your bottom or tummy, or a sun-damaged décolletage.
Always enthused at the prospect of younger, brighter looking skin we had the treatment on the face. Firstly, the therapist gently cleanses and preps the skin, making sure you are warm, relaxed and comfortable. A light Stem Cell Glycolic Peel is then applied. The peel smells incredibly strong and you will feel your face warming up and nipping slightly around sensitive areas like the contours of your nose and forehead, but it’s not painful and only lasts a couple of minutes.
Once the peel is removed, the Pure Roller System begins. This consists of 196 tiny needles being carefully rolled across the contours of your face in order to open up micro-channels that allow for products to be absorbed on a deeper level. The Roller stimulates cell renewal, whilst new collagen plumps out the skin, smoothing out fine lines and scars. This may sound absolutely ghastly, but trust is it is more uncomfortable than painful and the results really out way the unpleasantness. The treatment finishes with the application of the soothing DermaQuest Stem Cell 3D Complex, which works its magic on wrinkles and pigmentation and generally gives a more rejuvenated appearance.
After the treatment our skin felt instantly smoother, plumper and gorgeously soft. And despite being pricked with hundreds of tiny needles and having a skin peel, our skin looked surprisingly unharmed – only a flash of pinkness. It’s best not to put makeup on after the treatment, but if you are concerned the therapist can apply some mineral foundation to combat any rouge.
This treatment would work extremely well for smoothing out stretch marks gained during pregnancy or even for those suffering from acne scarring. We warn you, the treatment isn’t exactly relaxing but you will be wowed by the immediacy of its effects. You’ll also receive a mini kit to take home, which includes a range of skincare products and a less abrasive version of the roller which will keep the effects topped up between spa treatments.
