Omorovicza Facial at Liberty

Omorovicza Aquarium ProductLuxury beauty brand, Omorovicza pop-up this week in iconic London department store, Liberty.

Without a doubt our favourite department store here at StyleNest has got to be London’s iconic Liberty. This week the beautiful store have once again enlisted luxury skincare brand Omorovicza to set up a temporary spa treatment room in the store’s historic Queen Mary Room.

Hidden behind an inconspicuous door in Liberty’s beauty hall, the Queen Mary Room is small but decadent. Wood panelled, with gold trims the room is full of history and was once used as a private fine jewellery room. Today, the space houses cult beauty brands each week to give shoppers an exclusive in store beauty treat.

Currently setting up shop in the Queen Mary Room is Omorovicza. Hailing from Budapest, the brand draws inspiration from thousands of years of using Hungary’s wondrous thermal waters and their curative properties. We headed down to the London store to try Omorovicza’s Deep Cleansing and Pore Refining Facial which will be available between19-24 February.

The room is instantly calming as the wooden walls keep the light low allowing you to easily unwind and the treatment table is warmed with a hot water pillow. It’s hard to believe you’re only a door away from the hustle and bustle of Liberty’s busy beauty hall. To start, the therapist talks through our skincare regime and skin worries to ensure we get the most out of our treatment. Mineral-rich Hungarian moor mud is applied to our face and neck to draw out impurities and nourish the skin – ideal if you suffer from bouts of acne or blackheads. Next, our skin is cleansed and exfoliated using a fragrant blend of rosemary and pineapple extract – perfect for reducing those hard to shift pores and red patches.

Following this is a unique Hungarian facial massage. Unlike any massage we’ve experienced before, the Omorovicza therapist works a series of repeated pressures and massage techniques over the face – leaving it visibly plumped and with a dewy fresh glow. To complete the treatment and to leave us feeling pampered and preened from head to toe, our hands were exfoliated and massaged leaving them feeling like we’ve never done a hard days work in our lives.

The combination of the moor mud and the facial massage really did leave our skin feeling soft, supple and plumped – owing to a much more youthful look. We’d definitely recommend popping in to the pop-up treatment room this week if you’ve got a special event coming up or a party to go to as the fresh glow definitely gives you a much needed confidence boost.

The Omorovicza pop-up room at Liberty is open from 19-24 February 2012.
