Make-Up Class At Illamasqua

illamasqua storeCult cosmetics brand Illamasqua have launched a class to give you the confidence to experiment with make-up as well as top tips to adapt your look as you age.

As you get older, your skin changes and so does your style. We are all well aware of this but one area which is often neglected is your make-up.  Cult make-up brand Illamasqua is on hand to help with their new Maturing Beauty course at the their avant-garde flagship store in Soho.

What may have worked for you in your teens and twenties won’t in your 30s and again in your 40s and 50s.  But it’s hard to step away from what you know and try new products and techniques.  At Illamasqua, you are encouraged to experiment and will be treated as an individual instead of an age bracket.  For example, you make think that shimmery eyeshadow is a no-no for anyone over the age of 25, but  David Horne, Director of The School Of Make-up Art, shows you how to apply them in the right way so as to not magnify wrinkles and fine lines.  David will also teach you clever tricks such as a unique method of applying eyeliner (from beneath the lash line), which will make you look younger than any Botox injection ever could.

Having been in makeup artistry since the 70s and 80s, David’s passion for his subject, the attention and time given to each student, and the valuable knowledge you walk away with is what makes this course worth every penny.

The Illamasqua products themselves are great to work with, richly pigmented and easy to blend with a light texture; build them up for some theatrical glamour, or dab on for a more subtle, daytime look.  As well as the course you also get £25 off any Illamasqua products in-store.

The class costs £75 for 3 hours.  For more information visit Illamasqua.com.
