Harvey Nichols, Knightsbridge, has always been a fantastic store with innovative brands shining alongside the classic brands we know and love but their new makeover has just made them that bit more (or a lot more!) magical!
They still have the familiar names such as Mac, Bobbi Brown and Chanel -in fact Chanel made a bespoke counter especially for the re-vamp, they rarely ever do this! – and they have brought in some new brands to the beauty hall including; Charlotte Tilbury, NARS, Dior and (my favourite) Hourglass. To help guide you through all these amazing brands and offerings, you now have the option of the Beauty Concierge, the first of its kind, offering complimentary and impartial advice across all brands and treatments.
It feels much more like a swanky boutique than a beauty hall now, the lighting is slightly softer, the mood more ambient and the vibe more approachable – they have done an incredible job. Also new to the mix is an area designated to ‘beauty-on-the-go’. This is a cleverly designed area that opens early and closes late where you can have your nails, brows and lashes groomed to perfection or have your hair styled at the Hersheson’s Blow Dry Bar, at times that fit in with your busy schedule. Still on the ‘express’ menu yet much more cutting-edge, you can also have a quick pick-me-up at the Nosh Infusion Clinic (vitamin infusions and injections!) or have a skin boost at the ever popular Light Salon – I had the Express LED Rejuvenation facial and I can vouch for its popularity being justified; it takes just 15 minutes and leaves your skin glowing like never before! As with most of these types of treatment, the results get better over time the more you have, so thankfully, in this case the treatments are much easier to fit into your day and they are much more affordable too (from £35).
I have always loved browsing the Beyond Beauty area in Harvey Nichols, it’s full of exciting niche brands, so I was very happy to see it now taking pride of place in the beauty hall- with the new addition of a pick n’ mix style bar called Beauty Bites containing travel sizes of your favourite brands, obviously great for travelling and ideal for when you want to try something new before splashing out on the full-size too.
All this, and not to mention the incomparable Fragrance Hall with some of the most exclusive fragrances you could wish to find, Harvey Nichols have truly done themselves proud.
