Brand new to Fenwick, Newcastle is the chic and luxurious BeautyBAR by Clarins.
Launched on 8th March, my daughter and I headed into town last week all ready to sample a BeautyBAR experience. Set in the middle of the buzzing atmosphere of the Fenwick beauty hall, Clarins BeautyBAR offers an express escape from a busy day. Ideal to slot into a lunch break or arrange an extra special shopping trip, you can either book or simply walk in to check availability.
Debbie Lewis, Managing Director, Clarins (UK) Ltd explains, “We are excited to introduce Beauty BAR by Clarins, the stylish little sister to Clarins Skin Spa, which meets the demands of today’s treatment zeitgeist and bridges the gap between professional treatments and a retail environment”.
Each 30 minute treatment (plus 10 minute consultation to address your treatment needs) is priced at £25 each. The treatments include: Firming Favourite, Knot a Problem, DeStress Express, City Skin Rescue, SOS Facial and Men’s Energiser Facial. Incorporating signature plant power Clarins products, I plumped for the DeStress Express which is a massage addressing two trouble zones.
You can pick between hands, scalp, neck and shoulders or face and eyes, receiving a fast acting deep pressure massage. My therapist focused on hands, scalp, neck and shoulders, as I felt these parts of me needed the most TLC. A gorgeous and indulgent half an hour, I loved the soothing essential oils and muscle attention. It’s brilliant as you can have calming massage therapy on the go, without waiting for oils to dry and needing to take layers off.
Stressful day? Chaotic schedule? You must try out the BeautyBAR. Armed with an incredible Clarins goody bag full of newbie treats (more to follow soon), this had been one express luxe de-stress.
Afterwards, we were walked over to the Mugler counter, also part of the Clarins brand. Previously completely exclusive to Harrods, Fenwick Newcastle now stock Mugler Les Exceptions fragrance. A selection of couture-effect perfumes, these unisex scents are decadent and tempting.
Created by two perfumer-designers, Olivier Polge and Jean-Christophe Herault, the collection available at Fenwick comprises: Over the Musk, Oriental Express, Supra Floral, Chyprissime, Cuir Impertinent, Woodissime, and Hot Cologne (all priced at £140 each for 100ml). These can also be found as body lotion and candles. Divine.
From woody scents to floral notes, vanilla and more, there is something for everyone in these delightful scents presented to you in an Art Deco-esque bottle. My absolute favourite is Oriental Express, as it is invigorating fresh and full of resin, vanilla and powdery notes.
