With the party season well on its way, StyleNest decided to pop along to the Aveda Institute in High Holborn to trial the new Festive Blow Dry Menu.

Diving into the warm from the blustering wind and rain, StyleNest are offered a chilled glass of Prosecco and to take a seat in the Le Pain Quotidien café.
Just a few moments later, we are escorted to our seat and greeted by the lovely dressing hair specialist, Joon and decide on what festive look we are going to achieve – big, bouncy and full of volume.
StyleNest were given a selection of oils to choose from and given the drizzly day, opted for the energizing composition formulated with a revitalising aroma of lavender, sage and jasmine. We surrendered to the relaxing scalp massage and instantly de-stressed, drifting off into a realm of calm.
After a deep cleanse and another head massage, Joon begun her work, making StyleNest’s limp and lifeless hair, big, bouncy and festive-ready. Using minimal products, Joon part dried our hair spritzing Aveda’s Volumizing Tonic to give added texture and help build shine. Before thoroughly drying with a round curling brush, Joon used Aveda’s Brilliant Emollient Finishing Gloss for an ultra polished finish that leaves a mirror shine. To add movement and bounce, Joon used flat irons to create definition and shape. Slowly and steadily, Joon created defined curls which she brushed out and misted with Control Force Firm Hair Spray for a look that screamed modern 50s wave.
