YSL Makeup AW13

Yves Saint Laurent Autumn Winter 13We’re gearing up for winter and although it doesn’t feel like we’ve had much of a summer, Yves Saint Laurent new Autumn Winter Look 2013 has most definitely got us in the mood for the clocks going back and days getting shorter.

Inspired by the neon colours at sunset in Manhattan and energy of the city, Creative Director Makeup Yves Saint Laurent Beauté, Lloyd Simmonds developed the AW13 collection as multi-layered for the multifaceted woman. Classic by day and underground at night, chic and urban, Simmonds unifies the multiple personalities of the AW13 woman with a collection to help her achieve a range of different looks.

With a glossy, pop art inspired packaging, the new collection sees two limited edition graffiti introduced with a bold black or fuchsia casing for a must-have for AW13.

Choose between City Drive Arty, City Drive Classy or even both for a neon popping palette or muted quad of soft shades. City Drive Arty features neon green, chrome plated steel, asphalt black and electric blue, all inspired by New York’s underground art movements. Create a luminous look and add a sultry touch with a smoky finish for an evening look that will transform your look. For the day, City Drive Classy offers a quad of champagne, marble, concrete and steel tones for an urban yet chic palette.

Apply dry or wet for an infusion of intense rich pigment, Wet and Dry Pure Chromatics eye shadow provides long lasting colour with light reflecting pigments for an intense and show stopping look.

The look doesn’t stop there, pair with a flash of colour on the lip with Rouge Pur Couture in four new day to night shades including Rouge Neon a punchy red, Corail Urbain a graffiti bright orange, Beige Promenade for a natural brown and Prune Avenue a rich plum.

From the skyscrapers of Manhattan to the underground urban city, the new AW13 collection celebrates the modern New York woman.
