NassifMD Dermaceuticals launch on QVCUK

Star of E!’s Botched and world-renowned facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon, Dr Paul Nassif, announces the addition of his skincare line NassifMD Dermaceuticals, to QVCUK.com from 25th January.

Referring to how the formulation of NassifMD Dermaceuticals came about, Dr Nassif explains, “I see first-hand the adverse effects of poor skincare regimens, environmental aggressors that can lead to premature ageing, dehydration, lack of collagen and elasticity, and inadequate cell turnover, all which is critical for healthy skin.”

Interestingly, before any facial reconstruction surgery, his patients are required to implement an exfoliation and hydration routine for 4-6 weeks to restore elasticity and help repair the skin. As Dr Nassif says, “After all, dry, dehydrated skin isn’t easily manipulated, which is critical during facial surgery.” This was what prompted the creation of NassifMD Dermaceuticals, and patients being asked to use his own products pre-surgery.  A line infused with innovative high-performance ingredients and Dr Nassif’s extensive skin knowledge? I wanted to find out more.

On a recent Zoom call with Dr Nassif himself, he emphasised the importance of hydrating our skin with efficient products. And, should you have a never say never attitude to future surgical procedures, the aim of the game is to put any anti-ageing procedures off for as long as possible by investing in good quality skincare. That, and use an SPF all year round. Even if you live in north Northumberland like me.

I mentioned to Dr Nassif that my skin has felt spectacularly tired and dull since lockdown began, due to excessive screen time and probably, stress. I feel like I’ve aged a lot in a short time. He reassured me that this is something he’s seeing many patients say currently and can also be vastly improved by optimal skincare hydration. With a pro-active skincare approach, you can feel better about any issues that do bother you and be reassured in knowing huge hydrating improvements are within reach.

With all of this in mind, I’ve been sampling the (frankly amazing) products, which include:

Complexion Perfection Detox pads x30 (£23), Hydro-Screen for lips in watermelon or vanilla (£30), Hydro-Screen Face and Body Souffle (£35), Hydro-Screen Hydration serum (£37.00), Night Therapy serum with Elasta derm C and Retinol (£42), Peri-Orbital complex Revitalising eye cream (£47), Deco-Lift Neck Firming Complex serum (£56) and Crepe inhibitor Triple Action Body Butter (£42).

Dr Nassif bills Hydro-Screen as his ultimate hero product of the range, as it’s an advanced technology serum delivering immediate intense hydration, promoting collagen production and, ultimately reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Key ingredients include micro-spheres of skin-plumping hyaluronic acid, ceromosides HP and sytenol A.

What I love about Hydro Screen is how quickly it dries on skin, offering a silky soft matte finish that doesn’t create any excess grease or oiliness.  Suitable for use both in the morning and evening, simply apply 2-3 drops to a clean face, neck and décolleté as the last part of your skincare routine. Plus, because of its aforementioned matte effect, this works brilliantly as a hydrating primer under makeup too. As a beauty editor, I’m obviously no stranger to having a decent skincare routine. However, Hydro Screen is a game-changer and very fast-acting. A magic wand for this busy mum’s exhausted, dehydrated skin.

For the ultimate skincare power duo, pair with their Complexion Perfection Detox pads. Wipe your skin with a pad in the morning and evening, and don’t rinse off. You may feel a tingle, and must avoid the eye area. My tried and tested feedback was I found skin to be brightened pretty much straight away after first use, with said tired complexion definitely refreshed. A firm favourite for every age group, Dr Nassif told me, with their composition suiting teenage skin and mature skin alike. With anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties, key ingredients cover glycolic acid, lactic acid, salicylic acid, syntenol a and an elasta-derm c complex, and they won’t strip the skin as they’re alcohol-free. However, they will exfoliate, reduce pores, remove toxins, brighten and reduce blemishes.

In addition to the rest of this skin-loving range, a standout favourite of mine is the Hydro-Screen for Lips. Available in both watermelon and vanilla, slick onto lips and you’ll definitely see a difference. Extra intense oompf for your pout, a few seconds after applying, I felt a tingling. Then my lips appeared both extremely hydrated and distinctly plumped up. Wear alone or under a gloss or lipstick.

The entire range a thirst-quenching experience for your skin, I’m seriously impressed by this clinically proven radiance boosting selection. One to have in your go-to skincare arsenal, whatever your age or skin concerns.
