Get Lippy for The Eve Appeal 2019

Back once again this May, Get Lippy for The Eve Appeal unites big beauty brands for a vital cause.

The month-long campaign partners beauty and retail brands nationwide, encouraging women to speak up about gynae health. Aiming to smash taboos, Get Lippy invites us all into the conversation. By talking about it, we can have anatomically correct conversations and then in turn access earlier diagnosis of gynaecological cancers.

Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW) UK and Tesco are the lead partners, with a brilliant list of buys from beauty brands such as Lypsyl, Vaseline, Elemis, Burt’s Bees, Carmex and Nivea. All beauty brands will donate 10% of the RRP from a nominated product to raise vital funds for Eve Appeal research. Retail brands like Karen Millen and Tatty Devine are also donating a percentage of sales from a nominated item within their range.

Athena Lamnisos, Chief Executive of The Eve Appeal, says: “We still have a long way to go in breaking down some of the taboos and stigma that stop people from speaking up. Women should feel comfortable to talk about their health without fear of shame or embarrassment. Anything we can do to get women educated and happy to ‘get lippy’ with their GP is a good thing.”

Celebrity ambassadors are getting on board too, with support from Emma Barnett, Caroline Hirons, Nimco Ali, The Mac Twins, Harriet Minter and others.

If you’d like to support this crucial campaign, here’s a couple of key ways to get involved:

  • Buy a Get Lippy product
  • Blow a kiss to the camera and tag five friends on social media, challenging them to #GETLIPPY and donate £5 by texting EVE LIPPY to 70577

And most importantly, let’s keep this conversation going.

The Eve Appeal also run Ask Eve, a specialist information service led by nurses, where you can access free confidential expert information. Get in touch by email, or phone: [email protected] freephone 0808 802 0019
