The cult Japanese beauty brand DHC is really picking up pace here in the UK, made famous by its award winning cleansing oil, and including all the Japanese beauty exports we love- sheet masks, revitalising eye-strips etc, DHC is becoming quite a favourite in the beauty world.
The latest products to join the DHC family is the BEAUTY LIFT range; 4 products designed to defy gravity (cue song!) in the fight against ageing and lack lustre skin.
BEAUTY LIFT Lotion £34 The lotion is what I would describe as the toner of the range (and actually my favourite product, which is unusual for a toner!). It is so hydrating and really supports your moisture barrier- it feels like it holds the moisture in your skin! You can use cotton pads with it but I think it feels much nicer to pat it in with my hands. Containing the all important peptides, the lotion assists in minimising the appearance of fine lines.
BEAUTY LIFT essence £35 This is the serum of the range, and a gorgeous serum it is too! Containing intensely nourishing oat kernel extract, beta-glucans and peptides to help firm and lift the skin, in clinical studies 100% of testers reported smoother skin! I really like how light and silky it feels (perfect if like me you wear foundation every day and don’t want an inch of products on your skin!).
BEAUTY LIFT milk £34 The light but deeply hydrating moisturiser of the group! Formulated with pentapeptide-18 (a kind of messenger molecule) to help reduce the look of wrinkles, and squalene (anti-oxidant) to fight free radicals that age the skin. It’s so moisturising that I would say all skin types except the really dry could use it.
BEAUTY LIFT cream £41 This is the rich moisturiser of the range, it’s really suited to dry or more mature skin (or any skin type as a night moisturiser). It doesn’t feel at all ‘heavy’ but you can certainly feel it on the skin- like a hydrating band-aid preventing moisture loss! With the same complex of oat kernel and peptides as the rest of the range, it helps to minimise the look of fine lines and wrinkles for a smoother appearance.
I can’t say that my face looks ‘lifted’ yet (I think I would need to be using the products for a longer period of time to see those kind of results) but it definitely looks slightly rested and softer, which is a good start for me!
