StyleNest are already looking forward to the Christmas party season. It always gives us an excuse to wear sequins in the daytime, drink an abundance of mulled wine and of course, attend heaps of festive parties, where we want to be looking our best.

Burberry Beauty is on hand to have us looking tip top in time for the party season with their new Vintage Gold collection. Burberry Beauty takes inspiration from the versatility and transseasonal appeal of the label’s iconic British trench coat. The makeup collection features sleekly designed packaging with wearable shades that will last for seasons to come.

The Vintage Gold collection includes a number of products specially formulated for the festive season. The limited edition Burberry beauty charm is the perfect stocking filler or gift. It features a solid Burberry beauty lip glow in a glossy pink shade, which will suit any skintone and age. It is presented in an elegant tasseled gunmetal charm, inspired by Burberry’s accessories collections and will make a chic adornment to your keys or handbag.

The Burberry Complete Eye Pallette is perfect for anyone who loves to perfect a smoky eye. The sleek compact comes with four co-ordinating shades of sheer eyeshadow colour placed in order of application for the best way to define your eyes. The pallette is available in a number of shades, from pale nudes to blacks and greys.

Burberry Beauty artistic consultant, Wendy Rowe, gives tips on how to apply the eye pallette correctly.

  • Apply Effortless Mascara in Midnight Brown No. 02 to upper and lower lashes.
  • Add Eye Definer in Midnight Brown No. 02 to the upper and lower lash line.
  • Start by applying the lightest shade in the upper corner of the Complete Eye Palette, and work down.
  • Sweep the lightest shade over the entire eyelid to create a luminous base, blending from the lashline to the browbone, and the inner and outer corners of the eye.
  • Apply the second lightest shade along the socket line to define the eye, from the outer to the inner corner of the eye.
  • For more intensity, apply the third, deeper shade to the outer corner of the eye socket and blend, building up the colour to a festive effect.
  • Apply the darkest shade along the upper lashline, blending along the lashes to the outer corners to define the eyes.

The Burberry Beauty Velvet Gold collection is available from November.
