This May, Paul Mitchell introduces the latest addition to their Awapuhi Wild Ginger range, the MirrorSmooth collection.
Already big fans of the Awapuhi Wild Ginger range here at SN, we were keen to try the new launch. The collection comprises; MirrorSmooth Shampoo, MirrorSmooth Conditioner and MirrorSmooth High Gloss Primer.
36 years ago Paul Mitchell set up a sustainable, solar-powered awapuhi farm, where the awapuhi used in all of the brand’s products is still harvested today. The new set of MirrorSmooth goodies were born out of a design which blends Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger traditions with innovative technology. The result is a system proven to smooth the cuticle, reduce frizz, add incredible shine and protect the hair from heat damage.
The main component of these amazing hair products is KeraReflect, which is a mixture of Abyssinian oil, awapuhi extract, keratin protein and thermal protectors. Together these ingredients strengthen the hair, adding moisture and shine to your locks.
Sulphate-free, the MirrorSmooth Shampoo (£18.50) keeps flyaway hair at bay, smoothing and preventing frizz. We also found our colour lasted for longer between salon visits, with the sulphate-free factor being key to this. Used alongside the MirrorSmooth Conditioner (£20.50), this hydrates and removes remaining tangles, softening your ‘do and leaving a lovely light finish.
If heat damage is a hair-care concern, the MirrorSmooth High Gloss Primer (£7.95) adds further shine as well as thermal protection. Priming the surface cuticle of the hair, out-of-control texture is calmed and the hair is shielded from damage. And the best bit- this primer is humidity resistant, so whatever the weather you hair will behave itself.
