OLAPLEX HAIR TREATMENT WITH HIGHLIGHTS, HARI’S HAIRDRESSERS

HarisMy hair is the bane of my life! All the stuff I do to it to make it look half decent, is all the stuff that wrecks it and makes it even more unmanageable! Am I prepared to give up the colouring and heat treatments though? Of course not! So it is with trepidation that I try the Olaplex treatment in the hope that it could be the answer to my (hair’s) prayers.

Used in salon, Olaplex #1 is mixed in with the hair dye to act as a buffer between your hair and the colour, this really limits the damage the colour can usually do to your hair (especially highlighted hair like mine; no matter how careful or skilled your colourist is, there will always be some overlap of colour at each salon visit which is what causes the most damage). After rinsing the colour, Olaplex #2 is applied at the basin as a post colour treatment, then you are styled as normal. Olaplex #3 is an at home treatment used weekly after your appointment to help repair damage between salon visits.

The process does take slightly longer than a regular colour appointment as the colour takes a bit longer to develop, but this seems to prove the ‘buffer effect’.

The Hari’s team are all so good at their jobs (and happy too!). I had the lovely Anna looking after me, who discussed at length my colour options and how best to limit damage now and in the future. She recommended products (in a very informative and non-pushy way) and gave me styling tips to help prevent me from wrecking my hair any further! It was then the task of poor Andra to blow dry my crazy hair, she did a great job and didn’t even break out into a sweat!

My hair definitely felt stronger after using Olaplex, it didn’t look any smoother than usual but I think the true results will come over time; I am certain Olaplex is the way forward for anyone who colours their hair.

The most interesting thing I found is (it may just be coincidence) I had a Keratin Blow Dry a week after Olaplex and my hair is the shiniest and most manageable it has been in a VERY long time!
