The Chuck Taylor is likely, and deservedly the most famous of Converse’s iconic footwear, but in my humble opinion the Jack Purcell is the brightest star In its top-notch plimsoll firmament. 

While most of us are relatively unaware of Purcell’s antics on the badminton court, the silhouette which bears his name is, simply, a genuine classic.
