StyleNest visits the luxury hair salon that has a very special family legacy
Based in the stylish district of South Kensington, Clo & Flo is a modern, chic hairdressers with family roots. The salon is run by sisters Chloe and Florence Bellas within their father’s former Bellissima parlour and it’s this combination of the traditional and the cutting edge that really sets it apart.
Whilst Chloe uses her background in Events Management to act as the salon’s Director and General Manager, creative Florence has become one of the senior stylists after training alongside her father. She also brings high-end experience of the fashion industry so she and her multinational team of knowledgeable stylists are always ready to bring the latest trends to Clo & Flo’s clientele.
StyleNest decided to pay a visit to the salon during a busy Saturday outing for some hair therapy in the form of a luxury blow-dry.
After a friendly greeting from the team, we were treated to a relaxing wash followed by conditioner. The salon has a chilled atmosphere and this really helped us to unwind following a hectic morning in London!
Our lovely stylist Gianmaria soon got to work on getting our hair looking glam. With our fine shoulder-length tresses feeling a bit flat, we asked for extra volume and Gianmaria suggested some curls, something we were very keen on.
As we chatted it became clear that there’s a real sense of camaraderie at Clo & Flo. Italian Gianmaria has been with the team for three years since arriving in London and told us that it feels like a family. The team are all clearly passionate about their work too.
Our excitement over seeing the finished style grew as Gianmaria added beautifully soft waves using a curling tong. Anyone with similarly fine hair will surely understand the thrill of seeing so much volume and texture (without frizz too)! Our full fringe was also swept over in a chic side parting and we couldn’t stop smiling at the end result.
As the wind blew up a bit of a gale outside, we feared that our gorgeous new look might fall when we stepped out but thankfully found that it stayed in throughout a blustery afternoon of shopping in central London and even lived on into the next day. Impressive work! Our hair felt in great condition too.

The salon is even available for private hire for events such as parties, birthdays and baby showers with mini-manicures and cocktails provided.
