Although initially overwhelmed by attempting to use the device correctly, after reading the instructions it was surprisingly straightforward, painless and simple. The Flash & Go Luxx works by creating gentle pulses of light energy, which in turn disable hair growth. Said light energy is then absorbed by hair follicles whilst the surrounding skin tissue remains at standard temperature. After testing for skin sensitivity, you need to hold the device on skin until it flashes before pressing a button. Hearing a pop, you know it has worked and can move onto the next area. You can’t go over the same area twice and must adhere to a listed routine, which for us meant two weeks between treatments. It doesn’t hurt in any way and as you must shave before the procedure to maximise its efficiency, results are visible straight away. For us, those annoying post shaving bikini line lumps and bumps disappeared and re-growth had slowed down even after just one use.
