Lancôme announced last week that renowned makeup artist Lisa Eldridge has been named their new Make-up Creative Director.
In a statement both Lancôme and Lisa expressed their delight at the appointment, with Lancôme stating that Lisa appeared “immediately evident for us”. Both are known for their easy, practical beauty solutions, and with their shared “effortless chic” signature style, Lisa is the perfect choice for the classic French beauty house.
With a CV that already lists the world´s most famous design houses, the news is not only the next exciting career appointment for Lisa, but also a huge coup for Lancôme. In addition to being one of the industry´s most respected talents, Lisa has importantly also become a star of social media amongst everyday women. Since posting her first video tutorial in 2009, millions of followers around the world have continued to tune in to her YouTube channel and website to watch Lisa candidly share with us her own beauty problems, give us in-depth information about the products she trusts, and demonstrate step-by-step, easy to follow instructions on how to recreate her favourite beauty looks at home.
It is this social media status that gives Lancôme the perfect platform to show off their products, including the new products, collections, and shades that Lisa herself with be creating in their new Paris Make-Up Atelier.
