This summer, I’m all about the glamping. And I’m calling it that because any camping trip, no matter how un-glam, can become a sophisticated event if you back the right beauty goodies in your bag.

I love a travel set. Not only are they a wonderful way to try products without committing to the full size, they save you having the tedious job of decanting into smaller bottles – whether that’s to save space in your tent, or get through airport security. Here’s my pick of the travelling bunch.

First up is my favourite set for hair: Ogario Hydrate & Shine Weekend Set (£6.50), which contains a shampoo, moisturising conditioner and a restorative (and absolutely gorgeous) hair masque – and is ideal for busting post-pool hair issues on a weekend trip away. It’s also a purse-friendly way to try out Ogario, which is without a doubt one of the best haircare ranges I’ve ever used.

Now for some bodycare. This Travel Luxuries – Cleanse set (£29) from Moroccanoil not only promises a ‘memorable shower experience’ but also comes in a gorgeous zip-up pouch which will do for your other bits and bobs too. It contains good size minis of the Cleansing Bar, Body Buff, and the classic Moroccanoil Treatment for hair, meaning you can emerge from the poolside shower looking more Blake Lively than Blake Carrington.

If you’re after something that includes SPFs, bodycare and something for your complexion too, then try Green People’s Summer Pack (£17.95), which boasts five minis, all of which are SLS, paraben, alcohol and lanolin free. A great one for sharing with the nippers.

My skin tends to get unsettled and dehydrated on holiday, thanks to a change in diet and water, and using SPFs. For some extra TLC, pack Decleor’s Hydrating Travel Beauty Kit (£39.50). I love the way the smell of Decleor products makes you feel so pampered and the Hydra Floral cream in this set is perfect for extra hydration without the oiliness.

Finally, a new brand alert – Yin Yang. I am loving their Essential Travel Kit for Extra Skin Defence (£28.56), which contains their pH-Amino Gold Defence Lotion, a cleanser, Orange Flower Tonic and a face cloth – and is designed for exposure to the weather, whether that’s the cold, the wind or the sun.
