Loake Shoes Team Up With Topshop

model wears denim jacket, jeans and loake boots for topshopHigh street brand Topshop join forces with British shoemakers Loake, for an exclusive collaboration this season.

British high street favourite Topshop are no stranger to a collaboration, with a history of partnerships from Christopher Kane to Kate Moss. British heritage shoe brand, Loake however are embarking upon their very first parnterhsip. The British shoemakers, given the Royal seal of approval by the Queen herself, have teamed up with Topshop for their first collaboration in their 130year history.

The Loake for Tophop line is comprised of three new brogue styles – taking the heritage and fine craftsmanship of Loake and modernising it for the Topshop woman. Handmade in Loake’s Kettering factory, expect quality and style to be on par.

Inspiration for the collection comes from Topshop’s AW13 ‘This Is England’ trend, which references some of the most prominent aesthetics in British sub culture history, from ‘60s council estate kids to Beatniks and Skins.

Three styles make up the collection – a classic tan brogue, and two brogue boots, one in classic tan, the other in a gorgeous rich burgundy. All three are perfect for working this season’s tomboy trend, offering a masculine look for the modern woman.

We’ve got our eyes on all three of the Loake X Topshop styles. Wear the classic tan brogues with an LBD and a bare leg to give girlish dressing a boyish vibe. Or, channel this season’s grunge trend and wear the burgundy boots with washed out, turned up jeans and a check shirt.

The Loake for Topshop collection is available in the Oxford Street flagship store and online from September 2013. Prices start from £165.
