British childrenswear brand, Tootsa MacGinty launch their Spring Summer 12 collection of bright, playful clothes for little boys and girls.
Last season StyleNest were completely won over by the new kid in childrenswear, Tootsa Mac Ginty. With a winter collection that included the adorable knitted fox jumper and the whimsical animal print dress, this season, the British brand are back with their second collection – a Spring Summer range that both you and your little ones will fall in love with.
The collection screams summer, making sandcastles on the beach and eating ice-creams in the park – bright primary colours mixed with traditional seersucker prints, sweet gingham and bold stripes all appear on the unisex collection (apart from a couple of girl’s dresses). The range has a definite hand-me-down retro vibe too thanks to the most adorable Charlie Striped Vest and Pants beach set, mini hippy chick Peace Sign Sweatshirts in lemon, marl and baby blue, and gorgeous 70s style Dungarees in either ruby red or classic indigo denim.
Thankfully, Tootsa’s animal jumpers have returned for Spring/Summer 12, this time featuring a new lineup of furry friends, a frog, a bunny and a buck toothed squirrel. The animal magic doesn’t stop there as tiny bumble bees appear to have flown out of the back pockets of summer shorts and little dog faces make it onto the pockets of sherbet coloured skinnies.
The collection is playful, hard wearing and most importantly age appropriate, dressing children as children – the perfect antidote to sugary sweet pinks for girls and boisterous blues for the boys that are so often on offer.
