My first visit included a detailed consultation and a photograph of my vis, which was added to my file, so I could track progress on my skin journey. Then, it was time to slip on a headband, eye shield, and let the transformation begin.
The Signature Facial: Skin Laundry’s Hero Treatment
Billed as the brand’s starter facial, the Signature Laser Facial is designed to refresh and rejuvenate with results after one session. Using groundbreaking, yet gentle laser technology, the therapist hovered the laser wand over my face, allowing the current to penetrate deep into the skin to stimulate collagen, target pigmentation and clear out underlying debris.
It was an odd, crackly feeling, but not completely unpleasant, and well worth it as it got deep into my debris to attack the hyperpigmentation and most importantly for me – stimulate collagen production from within.
As soon as the treatment was over, my face felt great! I thought I might look like I had been lasered, but there were no marks or downtime; in fact, I was refreshed and ready for my next meeting – looking as though I had enjoyed a great night’s sleep – with glowing skin.
Often described as Skin Laundry’s hero treatment, it is a 15-minute powerhouse with immediate results – brighter, smoother, more even-toned skin; but the true beauty of this facial lies in repetition and I was advised that once a week treatments would boost long-term skin elasticity, should I choose to book a package. Also ideal for a bride / groom / hot date / special occasion pick me up or confidence boost, it’s a fuss-free glow-giver that works both immediately and over time.
The Charcoal Facial: Deep Detox Without the Drama
Three weeks later, I returned to try the Charcoal Facial, which takes cleansing and detox to the next level—particularly beneficial for oily, congested, or acne-prone skin. designed to step things up a notch – especially for those with congested, oily, or acne-prone skin, the highly porous activated charcoal “adsorbs” or pulls impurities, dirt, and oil from the skin’s surface and, like a magnet, miraculously, unclogs pores.
A thin layer of carbon lotion that is packed with nourishing ingredients was applied to the skin, followed by the ND:YAG laser to intensify, exfoliate and deep cleanse the skin.
Again, I could feel the occasional short sharp burst of heat in this twenty minute treatment, but the results of deeply cleansed and detoxified skin without the harsh stripping effect of traditional extractions were miraculous!
Thankfully I am not prone to breakouts, but multiple sessions will eliminate any lingering grime build up, minimize pore size, and create a healthier balance in the skin.
After just one session, my complexion looked more balanced and radiant. Over multiple visits, the Charcoal Facial helps regulate oil production, minimize pores, and keep breakouts at bay—making it a smart investment for anyone battling congestion or skin flare-ups.
