TURN BACK TIME AT THE PEAK HEALTH CLUB AND SPA AT THE JUMEIRAH CARLTON HOTEL

When was the last time you took ninety minutes out for yourself with no distractions? If you’re anything like me it was quite a while ago… so it’s the season to think about centring yourself and regenerating not only your energy, but your skin cells too.

The latest way to treat yourself to a facial, is by visiting the ninth floor, rooftop Spa at the Jumeirah Hotel in Knightsbridge, and prepare to get pampered with Timeless Prodigy Facial at the Peak Health Club.

With anti-aging treatments jostling for air time, and the more natural features coming back into vogue, the Spanish brand SKEYNDOR has developed an award-winning facial, that not only relaxes, it plumps rather than freezes the skin, so you leave with a healthy glow- which let’s be honest, is just what we need in the midst of the winter blues.

Using more than 25 active ingredients, your skin can expect to be brightened and clarified, and all you have to do, is lay back and relax whilst the unique blend of white diamond truffle oil is applied, followed by a damask rose stem infused face mask. The treatment is one of the first to pioneer the industry’s next-gen, cell enhancers; Feeling so remarkably relaxed, you won’t even realise that the therapist is using a small air gun-like device, to pump the oxygen –rich serum deep into the layers of the skin. Providing a pioneering a heady alternative to evasive procedures, there is no need for needles, and the combination of products help plump and brighten skin naturally, which in turn encourages cell growth.

In fact, the timeless indicator of the treatment allows your face to keep its current cells, and with the recommended four facials, never look back! Or should that be forward…

Ideally suited for the over thirties, who, like me are starting to notice fine (laughter) lines. Even after one treatment (which included a delightful shiatsu inspired massage at the start of the session to get you even more zen), I felt detoxified and more balanced when I left. I also couldn’t stop glancing in windows to see my newly shiny, and remarkably non-fatigued looking skin- where no cell was left unpurged!

Ideal for anyone who has been experiencing the winter blues, this is the perfect antidote. After all, who wouldn’t refuse a combination of white diamonds, champagne jelly, a collagen face mask, an anti-oxidant vitamin cocktail and a foot rub, all whilst freezing time?

The six-part treatment is a relaxing treat, and is a viable alternate to needle procedures. I left the stunning spa (reluctantly- the views over Knightsbridge are amazing!!) but headed out to dinner with fresh, glowing and firmer skin, which provoked very jealous glances from my dinner date!

The Timeless Prodigy Facial costs £220 and is available at the Peak Health Club and Spa at the Jumeirah Carlton Hotel, Ninth Floor, Cadogan Place, London SW1X 9PY. Tel 0207 235 1234
