We recently took a trip to the scenic coastal Northumberland town of Seahouses, for a soothing Thalgo Hyaluronic Facial at the Seafield Ocean Club.
A gorgeous spa and leisure retreat beside the sea, the day I visited was distinctly grey and dreary. Stepping into the warm Seafield Ocean Club haven, I sipped a piping hot coffee in the recently refurbished coffee area, before being shown to the relaxation room. Decked out with cosy faux fur blankets and twinkling candles, the space is a peaceful spa sanctuary. The knowledge you are so close to the seaside is also very soothing.
My lovely therapist Sarah led me along to The Ocean Club Health & Beauty Suite, following some blissful time winding down and getting into spa mode. After filling in a health questionnaire, Sarah talked me through skincare concerns, of which mine are currently dehydrated and tired skin. It’s worth mentioning that this year, The Ocean Club has been named Spa of the Year by Thalgo for the second time, and I can completely understand why.
Settling down for my treatment, I was tucked up on a heated bed and began to immerse myself into the therapeutic surroundings. The facial I enjoyed is called Thalgo Hyaluronic Smooth & Fill. Designed to limit the signs of ageing and smooth out fine lines, products conrain Hyaluronic Acid Microspheres for plumping out specific areas of concern.
Comprising cleansing, toning and some sumptuous serum, I particularly adored the use of hot flannels throughout. My entire facial was super soothing and an amazing antidote to the sleet outside. Tranquil music played in the background, as Sarah worked her magic on my exhausted winter skin.
The luxurious Thalgo products Sarah used included; Gentle Cleansing Milk, Beautifying Tonic Lotion, Hydra-Marine 24H Cream, Hydra-Marine Serum and Absolute Hydra-Marine Concentrate. The treatment covered exfoliation and a peaceful neck, arm and scalp massage too; I honestly slept so well that night.
I emerged from the facial with radiant soothed skin which has felt replenished and smoothed ever since. Already a big fan of Thalgo, this was my first facial by this fantastic brand and I was seriously impressed. I’m already thinking of the best time to return for another Thalgo experience at The Ocean Club soon.
