K Fusion by L’Kerabelle Hair Smoothing Treatment

post-kfusion_1litre_bottle_image_aug12It’s officially fall and slowly beanies and scarves will be overtaking the streets. Even though they might be warm and cosy, they are the main cause of frizz and unruly hair during cold months.

The keratin K Fusion by L’Kerabelle Hair Smoothing Treatment contains Argan oil and is formaldehyde free which makes it non-toxic and suitable for pregnant and breastfeeding women and even those who have undergone chemotherapy. After the treatment is applied, it promises to give us manageable and smooth hair. We couldn’t resist that idea so we decided to try it for ourselves.

The treatment takes a few hours from start to finish, so make sure you free your afternoon. The treatment starts with two hair washes, which make sure your hair is free of any dirt, oil and that the hair’s cuticles are open.

Afterwards, the hair is roughly dried and the keratin treatment is applied. Make sure to grab a magazine and get yourself comfortable because the treatment is left on for around 40 minutes.

After the 40 minutes have passed, your hair will be rinsed out for a few minutes without being shampooed, then dried and straightened in order to seal the cuticle back.

When the treatment was finished we noticed that it left the hair is left shiny and smooth. Because it’s not a straightening treatment, if you have curls your hair will still be curly, but more manageable, smooth and easy to style.

Your hair shouldn’t be washed for 48 hours after the treatment and afterwards should only be washed with sodium-chloride free shampoo & conditioner, which the brand provides too.

After the wash your drying time will be reduced greatly and your hair, apart from being silkier, will also stay in place for longer after styling.
