Stella McCartney Kids Launch Little Miss Capsule Collection

Little Miss Stella AW12 little girl wearing Stella McCartney Kids AW12For Autumn Winter 12 Stella McCartney Kids has teamed up with iconic children’s book series, Little Miss.

The Mr. Men and Little Miss storybooks are seminal in most children’s lives, just about everyone remembers their favourite whether it was Mr Strong or Little Miss Sunshine.

This season the Little Miss series take on the world of fashion, as British womenswear and childrenswear designer, Stella McCartney launches Little Miss Stella – a capsule collection inspired by the stories themselves.

The seven piece strong collection features the Little Miss Stella character, who appears on everything from t-shirts to pyjamas, bags to baby all-in-ones. Available in ages 0-14 years, the children’s capsule collection combines Stella’s playful, age-appropriate and effortlessly cool aesthetic with the nostalgia of the Little Miss stories.

Lucky customers who purchase a piece of Little Miss Stella early will also receive a limited edition book that tells the story of the designer’s cartoon character. The book is based on an original character, author and illustrator Adam Hargreaves created exclusively for Stella McCartney’s fashion show invite back in 2006. Now extended into 32 pages, the story sees Little Miss Stella give a helping hand to Little Miss Nobody by creating her a bespoke suit that transforms her – a fictitious story but one that perhaps hasn’t been untrue in Stella’s own industry.

Sure to be loved by you and your little one’s this is by far one of our favourite children’s collections and collaborations of the season. Each piece also comes cleverly boxed with fabric pens for them to draw on their own garments and express their artistic side. Who knows, maybe one day you’ll have your very own Little Miss Stella in the making on your hands.

The Little Miss Stella by Stella McCartney Kids is available now online and in store.
