Luxury womenswear designer DVF joins forces with high street favourite, Gap Kids for a second season collection.
Last spring, Diane Von Furstenberg launched her inaugural childrenswear collection with Gap. It was a huge success, with fashion editors wishing they could squeeze into the cute and cool pieces, and the collection’s highlights being spotted on many celebrities’ little ones, such as Beyoncé’s adorable little girl, Blue Ivy.
Well, we’re pleased to announce DVF for Gap is back for a much-anticipated follow-up sequel. The SS13 collection is just, if not more adorable than the last, with an equally as cute campaign.
Available in baby sizes and girls up to 14 years, the DVF for Gap collection draws from Diane Von Furstenberg’s signature aesthetic, with the child-friendly practicality and affordability of Gap Kids an Baby Gap.
Bursting with fresh spring prints, from Diane’s infamous love hearts to tropical florals, this is a collection for little ones wanting to be noticed. Sugary sweet shades or sunshine yellow, watermelon pink, tropical green and bright indigo are worked into sundresses, simple tees, leggings, denim and accessories.
Hero piece of the collection is the gorgeous Chambray Shirtdress (£34.95) complete with heart, star and birdie patches. Little girls should wear with colour popping high tops and a pink beanie for a cooler-than-cool summer style.
Accessories are key to the collection too, with summer sandals, striped sunnies, and our favourite, the tropical print Espadrilles (£29.95) all making an appearance – perfect for forthcoming summer holidays.
For a quick and easy way to update your little girl’s wardrobe, DVF for Gap have some quirky statement tees. From the whimsical Camel Print Tee (£14.95) perfect for little animal lovers, to heartfelt ‘Love Is Life’ (£14.95) logo t-shirt, they’ll spruce up her favourite skinny jeans or denim skirt.
And of course, the collection would not be complete without Diane Von Fustenberg’s signature staple – the DVF wrap dress. The DVF for Gap Kids and Baby Gap is available in Gap stores nationwide and online from mid April 2013.
