I don’t mean to reduce the male population of England’s beautiful, cosmopolitan and vibrant capital in any means- as I have said countless times before all taste is subjective.

That said, there will soon be a Beer Festival fitting of London. Which means BEER, and lots of it.

Not to disparage traditional beer festivals, but this won’t look like rival firms or archaeologists and folk singers met in a neutral venue to sort out their differences. Neither, though, will it look like a hipster convention where braces, old style naval tattoos and vast beards are de rigeur.

Rather, London Beer Week will showcase the very best on all the developments on that staple of gentlemens’ palates for the documented past and foreseeable future. Expect innovation and craft to the fore, with food matching, talks and tastings at every turn.

If you don’t believe me (as if you wouldn’t) bear in mind that London Beer Week is being launched by the same champions who plan and curate the behemoth which is London Cocktail Week every year, and have recently made London Wine Week a must visit for semi-professional lushes the Capital over. 

London Beer Week promises the same passion and exacting attention to detail as it brings together the very best beers from around the world in some of the city’s finest bars and restaurants all week, with pop-ups, events, masterclasses, and much more for died-in-the wool beer aficionados and the curious alike. 

This is no boys club as well, so gents if you’re angling  for a (insanely reasonable) wristband for Valentine’s and a pass for the night from your better half, bear in mind that she or he may well already be planning to sample the myriad greatness London Beer Week has to offer.
