Part of the appeal of these is undoubtedly the memory of an amazing pair of Nike ACG sandals I had literally twenty years ago, which I still pine for like a long-lost love (the Wasatch).
Part is the woven styling, which has worked so well on QS Roshes and Air Maxes recently imho.
Part is the colour, as a large percentage of what I sport is blue.
Part of the appeal may be that they do have a wonderful degree of wrongness in their sandal DNA.
Whatever the reasons, these are ace. Save for the fact I have untold Birkenstocks which largely go unworn, and that it will be Autumn in Scotland in about 15 minutes, I love them.
