Swedish high street store, & Other Stories have teamed up with vintage inspired lingerie label Alöe, for an exclusive capsule collection.
Since launching in the UK earlier this year, the Scandinavian fashion brand & Other Stories, which comes from the same team behind brand behemoth H&M, has settled in rather nicely on the British high street.
This season, they’ve teamed up with one of our own, British lingerie designer and founder of vintage inspired label, Alöe. The capsule collection comprises beautiful underwear and loungewear pieces, inspired by the costumes of ballerinas and full of delicate, vintage flare.
Included are bra and brief sets from the everyday black to something a little more special in delicate dove grey lace. Silk camisoles are there too, offering the perfect foundation to your autumn looks, as well as sweet playsuits in a range of prints and hues, that simply make it absolutely ok to lounge about at home, guilt-free.
As with all Alöe’s collections, the & Other Stories line takes reference from vintage underpinnings. There’s blush pink PJ shorts that look like old-fashioned bloomers -well perhaps a little sexier, and a rich jewel-toned bra and brief set in deep emerald – oozing old Hollywood glamour. And then there’s a romantic cropped tunic top, echoing the vintage style of Katharine Hepburn and putting usual loungewear to shame.
Standout of the collection has to be the beautiful silk romper cut from floaty Mulberry silk and adorned with a romantic, floral print. Paired with some cosy cashmere socks – slobbery just got chic.
Time to put that tea-stained t-shirt and your other half’s tracksuit bottoms to bed, loungewear just stepped up a gear.
