Carven Collaborates With Petit Bateau

Carven and Petit Bateau stripy bodyLuxury womenswear brand Carven teams up with classic French family brand Petit Bateau for an exclusive collaboration.

One of France’s most iconic fashion brands, Petit Bateau has joined forces with luxury cult label, Carven to launch an exclusive womenwear collection.

Carven x Petit Bateau will bring together the quirky cool of Carven, think sweet Peter Pan collars mixed with vibrant prints and girlish skirt suits, with the laid back luxe of Petit Bateau’s casual separates.

The collection will hit Petit Bateau stores and online shop from December 6th, but if you can’t wait until then a selection of the collection’s pieces are already available online at farfetch.com.

Included in the collection is a selection of Breton style bodies. The Breton is probably one of Petit Bateau’s most iconic and purchased pieces, and this season  has had a Carven makeover with  Peter Pan collars and a selection of bolder colour palettes from raspberry pink to monochrome. The body style means you can wear the top tucked in and super streamlined for the slimmest of silhouettes.

Carven x Petit Bateau’s Contrast Collar Dress is the hero of the collection and offers the perfect boardroom to bar balance. Available in show stopping scarlet or classic navy, both with a starch white collars it marries the two brands perfectly.

Rounding up the collection are a selection of Peter Pan shirt bids ideal for bringing me life to an old sweater. Simply layer them over an existing knit and pair with weekend jeans and Converse.

Based on the fundamentals of both brands, this is sure to be a collection of high-quality fabrics and pieces that will slip into your existing wardrobe with ease. Merging Carven’s Parisian chic style with Petit Bateau’s laid back cool, we’re predicting another collaboration sellout.

Carven x Petit Bateau will be available to buy online and in Petit Bateau stores from 6 December 2012.
