We visited SA to try out their latest revolutionary weight loss treatment, 3D Lipo. Whilst it sounds frightening this non-invasive treatment not only delivers impressive results but is pain free and the treatment itself only lasts one hour.

3D Lipo is one of the most advanced treatments of its type and specifically targets fat reduction and skin tightening by using the latest technology, ultrasound cavitation.

Cavitation combines radio frequency treatments with vacuum therapy to break down fat cells and tighten sagging and loose skin. The treatment is broken up into 3 stages; cavitation, radio frequency and 3d dermology (the vacuum). Neither stage is uncomfortable or painful but you will experience a high pitched ringing in your ear during cavitation. Don’t be alarmed, there are no harmful effects to 3D Lipo and after a few minutes you completely forget about the ringing. In fact, the whole treatment is surprisingly relaxing.

Your therapist will measure you before and after the treatment. Whilst a course of six treatments are recommended, you will see noticeable results after just one treatment. We experienced a total loss around the tummy area of 4cm.

You may be wondering how it actually works. As skin matures, its connective tissue begins to break down, causing wrinkles and the skin to loosen. Radio Frequency penetrates the skin layers to selectively heat the skin tissue, which stimulates collagen and at the same time increases the metabolism of fibroblasts, which accelerate the elastin fibres.  In short, it tightens and firms to leave skin smoother and more youthful looking.
