“When you are rushed for time, applying eyeliner can be a nightmare as it’s so easy to mess up.  Use pencil instead of liquid so if you make a mistake you can smudge it for a smoky look; liquid liner is tougher to correct and you have drying time.

“Splash out on a good quality kohl.  They last longer and look better.  Buying a cheap liner is false economy.  I love Bobbi Brown’s range of pencils.

“Finally, make sure the end is nice and sharp.  Dot along your lash line right into inner and outer corners and either using a brush or your finger gently sweep from inner to outer, joining all the little dots.  Simply finish by tidying up with a cotton bud.”  Liberty Shaw, Make-up Artist.
