NARS have launched their latest foundation, All Day Luminous Foundation, with a breakthrough formula promising up to 16 hours of wear. Designed for all skin types and available in an impressive 20 shades, StyleNest couldn´t wait to try it.
Highly pigmented, this is the first foundation from NARS to give full coverage, but offers something new to their existing range of sheer formulas and tinted moisturisers, which are already favourites here at StyleNest. Although we are not used to wearing full coverage, we were keen to see what NARS had developed, and yet again they didn´t let us down, we were thrilled with the results.
We applied the foundation as recommend by NARS, by warming one drop on the back of the hand before blending with fingers outwards from centre for the most natural finish. StyleNest found that one drop goes a long way and will easily do the whole face, you may even need less. Our other StyleNest tip is to blend fast, as the foundation starts to set quickly and becomes more difficult to work with. However once it´s there, it really does not budge for hours, staying matte where you need it, but without highlighting any winter dryness, and covering imperfections flawlessly. Thanks to flexible polymers that move with the skin, it felt and looked weightless and comfortable to wear, and the finish was completely natural with a glow that lasted throughout the day.
To achieve this glow, NARS have included something they call ´Even Tone Technology´, a perfectly balanced ratio of gold and green pigments which neutralise redness, reduce dullness, and optically manipulate light reflecting from the skins surface to give a luminous finish. Especially great for this time of year, as we are moving out of winter hibernation and trying to look fresh for spring, the technology also works long-term to reduce discolouration and increase brightness, and giving you flawless skin and the perfect base all year round.
