Rosewood Bangkok – the new ultra-luxury hotel in Thailand’s capital

If you’re planning a trip to Thailand and seeking a new level of opulence, you need to know about the incredible new hotel fusing stunning architectural design with warm hospitality

Rosewood Hotel & Resorts have announced the opening of Rosewood Bangkok, an ultra-luxury destination which makes a striking new addition to the capital’s skyline. Located in the heart of the city’s business and retail district, the 30-storey hotel’s innovative design features two gracefully connected structures inspired by the Thai Wai greeting of two hands pressed together.

This sense of modernity continues inside the Rosewood Bangkok. The team of Kohn Pederson Fox with Tandem Architects as the executive architect, and Celia Chu Design Associates for interior design, have acknowledged the city’s growing influence as a design, fashion and creative hub by creating a contemporary yet timeless decor. The hotel features 159 rooms including 34 suites along with three signature ‘houses’, which also feature their own private pools and terraces. Each room comes compete with books, art, accessories and personal touches to give an intimate and homely atmosphere.

Guests can sample a range of culinary experiences at Rosewood Bangkok’s four restaurants and bars. Lakorn European Brasserie offers all-day dining in an imaginative decor inspired by traditional Thai dance, whilst landmark eatery Nan Bei creates Chinese cuisine. Meanwhile Lennon’s – located on the hotel’s top floor – is a speakeasy-style bar which is home to the largest collection of vinyl records in Asia, allowing visitors to choose from a 6,000-strong collection or even bring a favourite LP of their own to play, whilst G&O is an upscale organic cafe offering healthy options adjacent to the outdoor pool.

For those seeking a moment of peace and tranquility away from it all, the Sense Spa – which occupies the entire sixth floor – is definitely the place to go. A wide range of treatments are available which pair ancient Thai beauty rituals with the latest innovations in skincare. Rosewood Bangkok is also home to an indoor-outdoor saltwater lap pool, in keeping with the theme of the element of water throughout the building’s design. The dramatic interior 10-story waterfall epitomises this and creates a soothing sound to replace the familiar noise of the city outside.

It certainly sounds like the ultimate destination for taking sanctuary – guests even arrive via a private driveway which transports them away from the bustling city. But for those wanting to enjoy the vibrancy on offer outside too, Rosewood Bangkok is surrounded by designer boutiques as well as luxury shopping mall Central Embassy, plus the dining and nightlife districts are just minutes away.

Sonia Cheng, chief executive officer of Rosewood Hotel Group, says of the new hotel: “Rosewood Bangkok exemplifies a perfect marriage of destination and Rosewood’s core concept of a modern ultra-luxury hotel experience. We are thrilled for travellers and residents to experience the warmth of Thai hospitality and the dynamism and beauty of its culture within such a fresh, exciting and radiant retreat.”

Introductory offers, including selections of hotel signature experiences, are available until 30 June 2019. “Redefining Bangkok” rates start from THB9,450 and “Signature Suites Stay” from THB17,550 per night, excluding tax and service charge, based on single or double occupancy and subject to availability.
