Built in 1720, Lucknam Park is set within 500 acres of private estate and woodland, just six miles from Bath. The 42-room country house hotel makes for a great escape for both families and couples for weekend breaks. Furnished with opulent antiques and a library filled with an abundance of books. The country house is also home to a luxurious spa, Michelin starred dining room and an equestrian centre with 40 horses.

And now, there is another reason to visit – this Autumn, brush up on your culinary skills with Lucknam Park Hotel & Spa Cookery School. The courses are designed to improve techniques as well as to discover  and create new dishes. With the help of Chef Hrishikesh Desai and Lucknam Park’s Michelin starred Executive Chef, Hywel Jones. Desai has worked at Lucknam Park for seven years and has a number of respected and celebrated achievements under his chef’s hat. Having won the respected Roux Scholarship in 2009, he also claimed the National Chef of the Year Award in 2010. Desai offers his passion of flavours and highlights great importance on raw ingredients and nutrition.

Located just off the estate in a small house the cookery course allows guests to select a variety of 26 daily courses with a maximum of 12 participants. You can choose from ‘Michelin Starred Cooking at Home’ to ‘Indian Street Food’ and ‘Health is Wealth’ to ‘The Perfect Afternoon Tea’.  With six cooking stations and small groups, you are given individual help when necessary.

The Cookery School Courses start at £175.00 per person including breakfast, lunch and refreshments, which will run daily from Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm.
