The USA is a huge place. You’re not likely to be able to see much of it in just one trip. But there is plenty to see no matter where you end up in America. And there are plenty of ways to get around when you’re there too. One of the first things you need to do is check which visa you’re eligible. This will determine how long you’re able to stay in the country.

Next, you need to make a wishlist of all the things you most want to see. You might have iconic landscapes in mind. Or perhaps there are some buildings and statues that are high up on the list. Maybe you’re looking to have a once in a lifetime experience. Whatever it is that you have in mind, pop it on the list. Now you can see where you are most likely going to be able to fulfill your wishes.

Most people fly to America from the UK. It is the quickest way of getting there, but it’s not the only way. There are regular cruise ships that will take you to the States too. If you’re looking to experience a trans-Atlantic sailing, then why not check it out? It’s a great way to travel, and you can arrive feeling completely relaxed after sailing in luxury.

Once you arrive in America, you will probably want to find some accommodation. You may choose to drive while you are there. You can pick a rental company at the airport, or you might be able to sort out your car and hotel from Hotwire Deals online. If you don’t fancy the idea of driving over there, why not invest in a public transport pass? You can then choose bus routes to take you the places you want to see. There are also rail passes that can take you across the States.

Time will always be too short to see everything in America that you want. One of the best ways to maximise your time in each place is to video it or take photos. Why not chat to the people who live there? Getting a local perspective on things can give you some great insights into why tourists love to visit. And if there is a local dish on the menu, give it a go!

Much like anywhere else, there are lots of options for accommodation in America. Hotels are often excellent as customer service is highly regarded in the States. You will be expected to tip in cash anyone who provides a service to you. This can get quite expensive after a while. However, the cost of food, dining, and activities is cheaper than you may be used to at home.

Baseball and American Football are hugely popular in the States. If you can get tickets for a game, it’s a worthwhile experience. Food portions are huge, but it’s still worth sampling local dishes. With no language barriers, you’ll be able to make plenty of new friends too. Make the most of your time in America.
