You may have that one friend on social media who seems to always be on holiday or travelling throughout the year. You might have dreams of travelling around the world but don’t have the money or time to do so. The restrictions of a nine till five job often prevent people from fulfilling their travelling dreams. It’s difficult to travel the world in your 20 days of assigned annual leave.

Fortunately, there are numerous ways to make money remotely so you can travel the world and earn money too.

Get a job abroad

If you have your heart set on one particular country, you could apply for a full-time job and live there for a few years. Or, if you want to travel around – you could apply for waitressing, bartending and cleaning jobs at various locations. Traveller hostels will often let you stay free of charge if you help out with the cleaning and cooking.

Freelancing

If you have a skill, like writing, graphic design, or digital marketing, you could freelance to earn cash around the globe. You could become an online tutor or start a blog to make money. Freelancing is a great way to build your career and stay in your industry while also travelling and having fun.

Trading

Fully self-sufficient traders can live and travel from just trading. You can trade through an international forex broker and make money through your smartphone and a little research. Easy!

Start a business

Most small businesses can be operated remotely from anywhere in the world. Delve into the world of social media management, drop shipping, digital marketing, or social media marketing. The more effort you put into your business, the more you will get out of it. Enjoy the process of building your business, and make sure it centres around a topic that interests you.

Budgeting

One of the most important parts of travelling is budgeting. When you don’t have a stable income and routine, it can be easy to lose track of your spending and fall into debt. It’s particularly easy if you are travelling to cities with plenty of tourist attractions that cost a heavy penny.

Slow travel is the best way to save money on transportation and accommodation. You can often get deals on long-term accommodation in Airbnb’s or traveller hostels. Moving between countries is expensive and can come with the added expense of tourist visas, taxi rides and on-the-go costs. Instead of spending a few days in a location – try immersing yourself in the culture and spend a few weeks there instead.

Travelling is a wonderful experience that can enrich your life in multiple ways. Travel with your loved one or embark on a solo adventure to tick your dream destinations off the bucket list.
