The Bentley

For the fashion week weary amongst us, the delight that is The Bentley provided an oasis of peace, calm and tranquillity that I was more than happy to embrace. I arrived by tube, Gloucester Road on the Piccadilly, Circle and District lines is the closest and the hotel is little more than a 5 minute walk from the station. I was greeted warmly by reception staff and when I enquired about an iphone charger, I was kindly  loaned one for the night as it wasn’t just my personal  battery that was depleted. These little kindnesses do much to enhance a hotel stay.

My enormous  room, situated on the 4th floor was more like a mini suite with a large bed, desk and sofa, mini bar and tv unit at my disposal…but let us talk about the bathroom. The hotel has a spa on site, but sadly,  due to my work commitments I was unable to partake of this, but the bath delivered a in room spa experience all by itself. I felt like Cleopatra in the marbled gorgeousness.

The bed was huge and the pillows and bedding were so inviting I was out like a light. I was up early the next day for the last day of Fashion Week and was one of the first to breakfast, again staff were courteous and helpful and able to fulfil my dietary requirements, no gluten, no dairy without a fuss, they even provided me with a take away cup for my morning latte so  could be on my way expeditiously.

It was a bright and sunny day as I made the short trip to the tube to head back into central London and I definitely had a spring in my step thanks to the Bentley.
