C.O.Q. Hotel Paris

p-_19a1546-mdStanding for “Community of Quality,” C.O.Q. Hotel in Paris is just that, a hotel which offers guests thoughtfully designed rooms with custom-made furniture, unique artwork, and a focus of “Made in France” products to support local craftsmanship.

Looking for a new fashionable but yet affordable hotel in the capital, StyleNest headed over to C.O.Q. for a weekend away to find out more about one of the city’s most stylish hidden gems.

Located in the 13eme arrondissement of Paris, C.O.Q. is far enough away from the tourist traps of the city, but close enough and easily accessible enough to travel to wherever you need to go. However, with its relaxed and homely vibe and décor, you would be forgiven for enjoying some relaxation time in the hotel too.

As a small boutique hotel, there is no pool or spa or gym, but C.O.Q. more than makes up for these facilities with its own more unique ones. Downstairs the bar area encourages guests to use it as a place of relaxation after work – there are in fact no minibars in the bedrooms to encourage a more sociable atmosphere – whilst the lounge and breakfast area decorated with plants and paintings offers large sofas and a beautifully designed and very full bookshelf and music collection for the perfect chill out zone.

Our room was also Parisian size, but with Parisian style. Grey walls with hanging paintings, white sheets on a fluffy duvet, cosy pillows to add colour, and all lit with oversized bare light bulbs – we definitely had design ideas for when we returned home. Our favourite part was the charming, vintage style writing desk, with even the bottle of water sitting on it looking well-designed and well-crafted. Our modern and elegant white tiled bathroom had accents of black and a mirror we wished we had hanging in our own. In fact, we also wish we had booked an upgrade to enjoy one of C.O.Q.’s luxurious standalone baths.

After a night in our cosy room we had high hopes for a great breakfast, and were not disappointed. Fresh eggs from the chicken coop outside – yes, really – and a spread of jams, breads and patisserie, artisan meat and cheese all served up with fresh juices and fresh coffee made the perfect start to our day, and helped cement C.O.Q.’s reputation as indeed a hotel and place of quality, and one of the most stylish hangouts in the city.
