VITAMINS JUST BECAME BESPOKE AND THE NHS LOVE IT

Vitamin drips have been around for a while now, with people seeming to love and dismiss them in equal measure, but now Reviv have taken vitamin intake to a new level (and I can’t stop thinking about it).

I’ve had vitamin drips before, and I love the idea of fuelling my body in such a direct way, but it is often hard to really pin-point the benefits due to such varying external factors effecting results each time (i.e. stress, bugs, hormones etc). I recently had a drip at Reviv, deliberately planned post trips to Las Vegas and Shanghai – I was in need of some serious hydration, but I could also feel I was coming down with a virus so I wanted to give myself as much defence to the bug as possible. This would be my usual reason for booking a drip and it’s always served me well – replace goodness that my lifestyle was zapping out of me and pre-empt times when I may need a bit of a boost, but on this particular visit, I learnt about a new service Reviv are offering and it has blown my mind!

At Reviv, you can now have a total DNA profile created, detailing practically everything you need to know to live your healthiest life possible. Mind not blown yet? Keep reading. You have a choice of profile; health, beauty or sports training, all of which are presented in your own personal hardback book. The book will list foods and medicines that are particularly beneficial to you and ones to avoid, it will tell you of vitamins and minerals you are prone to be deficient in and illnesses you may be more susceptible to – it will then give you lifestyle, diet and medicinal advise to counteract this, plus you will receive 1:1 support after to help you understand and support you through the findings. Your DNA profile will also list the likelihood of you getting particular cancers (low, average, high) now I realise many people would rather not know if they are highly likely to develop a cancer but here is the mind-blowing bit….. I was given a staff member’s DNA health profile book to look through, in which it revealed she had an above average chance of developing breast cancer. It also revealed that the post-breast cancer treatment drug Tamoxifen (usually the first choice given because of its great results) would not benefit her at all, putting her at a huge risk of the cancer returning. Thankfully, her report listed other, similar drugs, prescribed for breast cancer patients, that would totally agree with her and help to keep this horrible disease at bay.

I realise, this is a sensitive and painful subject for many, but I give you this information with medical and scientific backing- the results have an accuracy rating of over 99.97%. It is not a ‘natural healing’ approach, it is targeted medicine for each individual. For me, as someone who has watched a loved one go through recurrent cancer, this is a topic well worth sharing, especially when I discovered this kind of DNA testing is not only backed by the NHS but is also something they would like to implement into the system – as although initially it is expensive , over time it would actually save the NHS money by taking away the guess work and being able to work more targeted.

This DNA profiling does not come cheap but the information you receive is invaluable (and you have the option of paying in instalments) the cancer bombshell of the beforementioned staff member has, in my opinion, justified the cost of the service with that one piece of information alone, never mind all the other beneficial health and lifestyle advice she has the choice of making now.

Some might say all these new-age approaches to health are messing with science and that we should leave nature to take its course, but I think it all just makes good sense; using the technology and knowledge available to us, to live our best (healthy) lives possible!
