Spread Eagle Hotel and Spa launches Exclusive Yoga Retreats

Elaine Vaughan outside B&WAre you a serious yoga bunny looking to improve your skills? Or perhaps you’re a beginner and love how flexible and peaceful yoga makes you feel? Either way, a relaxing yoga retreat might be just the thing to rake your hobby one step further.

The Spread Eagle Hotel and Spa in West Sussex are launching a series of yoga retreats in partnership with renowned yoga expert, Elaine Vaughan. The Spread Eagle Hotel and Spa is one of the oldest coaching inns in England, dating all the way back to the 15th Century.

Available from June – November, these overnight retreats are ideal for yoga beginners looking to improve and enhance their skills.

Elaine Vaughan has practised Hatha Yoga for over 30 years, and is a compassionate and enthusiastic teacher. She qualified in the Sivananda discipline in 1998 and her style combines Hatha, Iyenga, Vinyasa and Scaravelli Yoga. Her classes concentrate on body alignment and creating space within the body through a range of postures and relaxation. If you haven’t quite mastered the art of the downward dog yet, don’t worry – the retreats are suitable for yogis of all abilities.

The retreat will begin with welcome drinks and an introduction from Elaine on the many benefits of yoga, wellness and healthy living. After lunch you’ll unwind in the spa before your first yoga session. Why not follow this with a Temple Spa treatment? It’ll put you in a relaxing mood before dinner and a long sleep. Day two incorporates meditation and breath work practice, as well as a one hour Vinyasa Flow lesson.

This energising infusion of yoga, spa treatments and good food in the heart of the Sussex countryside makes The Spread Eagle Hotel and Spa’s yoga retreats the perfect healthy escape for 2015. Retreats are available from £299 and will take place 4 – 5 August, 8 – 9 September, 6 – 7 October and 3 – 4 November 2015.
