We chat to The Saturdays singer, Mollie King to find out about her latest project with Magnum Pink & Black Ice Cream as well as her favourite London locals and fashion favourites.

Espresso flavoured Magnum Black?

Indeed! Magnum Pink is inspired by the fun, playful side of our personalities and Magnum Black the elegant, sophisticated side.

The Magnum Pink represents playfulness, whilst the Magnum Black, sophistication…would you say you are an even mix of both flavours or is one stronger than the other?

I’d definitely say that I am a mix of the both. When I’m performing on stage, the playful ‘Pink’ side of my personality is definitely more present; I do enjoy a more sophisticated ‘Black’ night out too though.

You’ve got an amazing figure. With summer approaching what are your top tips for being able to indulge in a Magnum or two but still remaining in tiptop condition?

For me it’s all about moderation; I enjoy eating healthily and treating myself to whatever I want when I fancy it. I have a personal trainer when I go to the gym who makes sure I work hard.

You will also be designing and curating Pink and Black inspired experiences on London’s Regent Street to celebrate the launch. Can you tell us a little more about this?

Yes! I’m so excited. I’ve been busy creating the ultimate Pink and Black experience which will be on Regent Street, when Magnum closes the whole street for a unique street party on 31st May.

When you’re not busy on tour and working, what do you like to do to unwind?

I spend time with family and friends – and Alfie. I enjoy a lazy summers day in the park with magazines and ice cream.

You’re known for your innate and eclectic sense of style, where do you think it came from?

Thank you! I love fashion, and take inspiration from everyday life. Whether it’s a 1950s film or holiday, I love to soak up ideas.  My favourite look would be a feminine one, with neutral tones and classic tailoring.

We love your style and you’re frequently snapped in the ‘Best Dressed’ pages. Can you give our readers a few tips on what to wear for SS15?

I’m keeping an eye out on the ‘70s trend – the boho ‘look’ is everywhere right now. It’s pretty perfect for an everyday summer look.

You always look so put together. We can’t imagine you ever having a scruffy day. What is your ultimate wardrobe staple?

My khaki Oasis mac – perfect for London’s transitional weather!

If you had to wear one label for the rest of your life what would it be?

There are so many designers I love! I really love Gucci and Burberry so I am split between the two

Living in London, can you share your favourite places to shop/eat/drink?

For a cocktail, I really like the Rosewood! I do most of my shopping online – it’s so handy. Brunch at The Riding House Café is also good and for special occasions I go to Zuma for amazing sushi.

Your skin and hair always look so flawless. Any top tips for our readers on how to look fabulous in just five minutes?

Again, thank you for the compliment! I think it’s important to bring out your main features if time is of the essence. I would use Maybelline brow drama to control the brows and fill them in, them probably a dewy foundation and add a light contour to shape the face. If there’s time I’d throw on some mascara too.

What’s your motto?

No regrets. And everything happens for a reason.

So Mollie, is this Magnum ice cream the ultimate fashion accessory?

Yes!

Mollie King has partnered with Magnum to celebrate the launch of Magnum Pink and Magnum Black ice cream this summer. Magnum Pink Raspberry and Magnum Black Espresso have been created to reflect the different sides of our personalities, with Magnum Pink reflects the fun, playful side of us and Magnum Black the elegant, sophisticated side.
