Where: The Wyndham Grand, London Chelsea Harbour
What: 1st October – 12th November 2011
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and what better way to support the cause than with afternoon tea with your girlfriends? The five star Wyndham hotel in London’s Chelsea Harbour has teamed up with breast cancer charity Haven to launch a new pink afternoon tea. Haven has centers in Fulham, Leeds and Hereford which help breast cancer sufferers fight the emotional and physical side effects of the illness.
So, grab a couple of friends and book yourselves in for a much needed treat. Served in the chic, modern lounge bar of the Wyndham where you’ll be served an array of afternoon treats whist you gaze out to the picturesque marina and London’s impressive skyline.
The menu has been carefully selected with the help of Haven’s nutritionists and cleverly combines superfoods known for treating and preventing cancer such as watercress, green tea, ginger and spinach. Healthy and delicious – what more could you want?
Of course, afternoon tea would not be complete without the obligatory sandwiches and cakes. From Brie de Meaux with ginger and mango chutney sandwiches, to warm mini scones filled with fresh cream and fine strawberry jam; you’ll be spoilt for choice.
The Positively Pink afternoon tea is available from 1st October until 12th November and is priced at £20 per person or £30 with a glass of Pink Tattinger Champagne. 10% of the bill will be donated to the Haven.
