The Pig Feast For The Pig Idea

Paternoster The Pig IdeaPig out this November for London’s biggest Pig Feast held at Trafalgar Square in support of the Pig Idea.

In support of the Pig Idea campaign by Thomasina Miers and Tristram Stuart, Trafalgar Square will be transformed into a pigtastic extravaganza on November 21. Aiming to raise awareness to encourage the use of food waste to feed pigs, The Pig Idea aims to lift the EU ban on the feeding of catering waste or swill to pigs in hope to help climate change but also reduce the cost of pig feed.

Teaming up with the crème de la crème of cooking such as D&D restaurants Paternoster Chop House and Le Pont de la Tour along with several other hot spots, The Pig Feast will be offering Londoners a serving of porktastic delights.

From 12 till 4, stop by for some free food and friendly activities and most of all pig out on tender treats from a range London’s finest restaurants. Soho House, Wahaca, Le Pont de la Tour, The Delaunay, Paternoster Chop House, Cabana and Bistrot Bruno Loubet will all be participating in the The Pig Feast, serving succulent pork which has been reared over the last seven months on a healthy diet of spent brewer’s grains, why, unsold fruit and veg and okara (which would have been otherwise composted).

D&D restaurants Paternoster Chop House and Le Pont de la Tour will be serving up scrummy dishes at the pop-up banquet, including tasty Baked pork buns with apple sauce and Braised pig cheeks.

See for yourself and taste the difference and don’t miss London’s piggest pork fest, but rest assure if you can’t make the Pig Feast, you don’t need to miss out on the pig or the feast as D&D London restaurants will be serving a range of pork inspired dishes. From triple pork burgers to piggy platters and boar bites, ensure you have a porktastic November and support The Pig Idea.
