Family Day Out At Norfolk & Norwich Festival

Norfolk & Norwich Festival Dinosaur ZooRunning between 11 – 26 May 2012, the Norfolk and Norwich Festival has plenty family friendly fun to keep old and young entertained this summer.

Celebrating the arts in the East of England, this year’s Norfolk and Norwich festival has a huge array of family friendly events on offer to enjoy and take part in this May.

Brave little ones can get up close and personal with terrifying creatures in the Dinosaur Petting Zoo (open 12 – 20 May). Only the gutsiest of little ones will get the chance to feed, water and care for these 65 million year old, very lifelike creatures in a real life Jurassic Park.

Theatrical children will delight in watching the Kid Carpet & Theatre Bristol group present Kid Carpet and the Noisy Animals on 12 May. The production is a rock ‘n’ roll adventure of music, theatre, comedy and animation starring characters Gorilla, Bear, Hedgehog and Badger as they have fun and make mischief. The production is suitable for children 3 – 8 years but we’re sure big kids will enjoy it too.

Last but not least on the Norfolk and Norwich family calendar is The Bo Nanafana Social taking place on 19 May. The quirky named event includes music, dance and comedy and anyone from aged 2 to 102 are sure to enjoy.  Little ones will have the opportunity to listen to rap and hip hop rhyming comedy from Abandoman, compete in a kids versus adults beat boxing competition and finally dance if off with the Bo Nanadana DJs. Dress code says fancy so we suggest cute dickie bows for little boys and rainbow coloured tutus for the girls.
