Ukulele lessons

Ukulele, or uke, is an instrument resembling a small guitar. It is getting more and more popular in UK. The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain playing music on the ukulele and giving concert tours makes a big contribution to popularizing ukulele. If your dream is to learn playing this instrument, Huddersfield comes in handy. Every week in Beaumont Parks the teachers give ukulele lessons. No doubt, that will be great entertainment.

The Pretend Beatles concert

I guess there is no person who is indifferent to the timeless music of the Beatles. And The Pretend Beatles band’s aim is to refresh the songs of this legendary ‘Fab Four’. Their show will be held on the 22nd of August 2015 in the Barge, Brighouse.  You’ll enjoy 30 songs of Beatles and have a great time.

Lucy Ward and Band concert

The 28th of September 2015 Marsden Mechanic Hall will house a great show of Lucy Ward who is BBC Folk Award winner and a new band. This concert in Huddersfield is a part of her tour promoting the third album, ‘I Dreamt I Was A Bird’. Lucy Ward’s magic voice and a talent of a new band is a guarantee of a wonderful evening.

Marsden Jazz Festival

Marsden is a picturesque village that is 6 miles away Huddersfield. Every year festival goers from Yorkshire and other corners of Great Britain come here to spend an unforgettable jazz weekend. In 2015 this festival will be held from 9th to 11th October. Marsden is ready to host more than 5000 jazz lovers and assure comfort. You’ll hear traditional and contemporary jazz that will find the way to the hearts of every visitor.

The Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival

Is Great Britain’s largest international festival of new and contemporary music. It will be held from Friday 20 November to Sunday 29 November 2015. This is an outstanding event lasting 10 days. And every day of the festival is packed with up to 7 events. The program is diverse and includes concerts, talks and film, dance, electroacoustic performances, multi-media, music theatre, jazz, choral and orchestral performances etc.
