What Mother Made…

What Mother MadeSpecialising in vintage style children’s clothing with funky bold prints we take a peek at the UK based boutique label What Mother Made new SS15 collection.

Hand crafted for babies and toddlers from newborn to eight years old, the team – headed up by founder and designer Charlotte Denn – carefully cuts, sews and pieces together each item from their studio in Dalston, East London. The brand base their collections on vintage-feel shapes brought up to date with vibrant fabrics.

The SS15 collection has been inspired by the merging of English heritage and ethnic prints with bold bursts of colour and features classic What Mother Made styles like unisex dungarees, pantaloons and short/shirt sets as well as pleated dresses and trousers.

Featured in the boys’ collection are short sleeve shirts in yellow geometric African prints with complimenting shorts and bold teal blue shirts. For the girls a beautiful mint hue has been used across a shorts and dungarees set. Also pale blue ditsy florals and yellow gingham are displayed across cute round collared shirts and shorts. Sitting alongside the collection beautifully are accessories- summer hats, hairbows and neckerchiefs.

Living up to the handmade ethic of the label, you can create your own bespoke What Mother Made pieces by requesting styles in different fabrics that will then be created especially for you.
